The 12th Annual Cheers for Children Brunch Sunday, April 18th 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Elgin Community College University Business Center Elgin , IL Our guests savor gourmet menu items chosen by our Honorary Chef. Each dish is prepared and served by some of the areas finest restaurants.   Our event also includes entertainment and a host of mementos to purchase from our live and silent auction. Back by popular demand is our Wine Grab Bag. Pick the bag of your choice, pay $20 and you could go home with a wine that is double or triple the value of your donation!  We also have a grand-prize raffle for a fabulous one week stay at the Rushes Resort in Door County Wisconsin. Availability is from August 13th through August 20th.  This resort also has a recreation center with exercise room, a pool and game room.  Raffle tickets are $25 each or five tickets for $100. This amazing group of professional designers (left to right back row: Peggy Reilly, Jill Calcagno, Jarene King, Catherine Tilly, Chris Danielson, Donna Shaw, Wanda Dees, and Jennifer Pentigalo. Front row: Kristy Mahurin, Sue Wohl, Lynn Berry, and Wendi Dwyer) have adopted our Park Row Group Home.  These women have formed their own company, Project Create inC and are in the process of completely remodeling the entire second floor of the home. This includes a tranquil color scheme throughout, new bed linen and pillows, hand painted murals in each bedroom, new furniture, a new bathroom, custom closets which is ever girls dream and a special time out room for the girls and staff.  If that isn't enough, these women want to tackle the first floor as well! These special women have spent time with our girls and truly want to change their lives in a meaningful way. They have secured community partners, contractors and skilled laborers to donate their time, skills, funding and caring spirit. In our honor they will be hosting a benefit dinner on Saturday, March 13th at New Hope Apostolic Church located at: 201 West Madison Street in Yorkville from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. All you can eat Italian Cuisine catered to your table.
