Career Opportunities

All positions require applicants to be 21 years of age, have a valid IL driver's license, and meet DCFS eligibility to transport clients.

Case Manager

Provide support services for group home therapist. Responsible for understanding and communicating The Larkin Center treatment plan for each client on his/her caseload to DCFS, public school personnel, the courts and others who need to know the plan in order to serve the client. Plan, coordinate, supervise and provide transportation for clients to family visitation, annual case reviews and court reviews, when appropriate. (Vehicle provided.) Bachelor’s degree required.

Childcare Worker/SST

Responsible for supervision of unit children at all times, distribution of medication and recording all medical difficulties.  Plan and supervise all social activities.  Keep a log of each child’s behavior.  Must have Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years experience, prefer JSO experience.  Full time, days.

Compliance Officer

Direct and implement the Compliance system throughout the agency, implement all Medicaid requirements across all programs and assist Director of Admissions / PQI with meeting all COA standards.  Bachelor’s degree required.  Concentration in a child welfare or related field preferred.  Full time.

Teaching Assistant

Provides assistance to classroom teacher with the following: maintaining attendance and lunch records, preparing assignments, assisting students with classroom work, grading papers and recording grades, supervising PE and lunch, and writing and filing incident reports.  BD experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of 30 hours of college credit or ISBE Basic Skills Test certification.

Team Counselor/Highland

Responsible for supervision of unit children at all times, distribution of medication and recording all medical difficulties.  Plan and supervise all social activities.  Keep a log of each child’s behavior.  Must have High School diploma or GED.  Prefer Bachelor's degree or 5 years related experience.

Unit Supervisor/SST

Supervise clients’ treatment plans.  Facilitate discharges and communicate with multi-disciplinary teams.  Assume responsibility for report writing and supervision of unit staff.  Must be 25 years of age, have an associate’s degree and five years of residential experience or Bachelor’s degree an two years of residential experience.
